Special Report No. 01-01: Hydrological Simulation Program – Fortran Calibration for Mica Creek, Idaho
Hydrological simulations of Mica Creek and West Fork Mica Creek, two adjacent, entirely forested watersheds located in the panhandle of northern Idaho, were performed using US EPA’s Hydrological Simulation Program–FORTRAN (HSPF), Version 10. The simulation was at an hourly time step and at the sub-watershed scale. The purpose of the project was to determine the efficacy of HSPF in a forestry management setting as well as its utility within the BASINS GIS graphical user interface framework.
