PC 062 – Nutrients in effluents and receiving waters – overview of NCASI studies and examination of 2009 research program

This interview addresses residual nutrients in pulp mill effluents, specifically forms of nitrogen and phosphorus, that have taken on increasing importance as the states develop numeric nutrient criteria for protection of designated uses of pulp mill effluent receiving waters, and as the states conduct TMDL assessments for waterbody segments receiving PME discharges.
