CC-99-036: Clarification on NCASI Corporate Correspondent Memorandum 99-34 Regarding the Management of Used Lamps as Universal Wastes

On August 6, 1999, NCASI distributed Corporate Correspondent Memorandum CC 99-34, which contained EPA’s final rule adding used lamps to the list of Universal Wastes and laying out management requirements for hazardous used lamps. Since then, NCASI has received inquiries from member companies about (a) the impact of the rule on the management of used lamps that are not hazardous, and (b) restrictions on crushing used lamps.
