CC-98-023: Proposed and “Direct Final” Changes to Rules Governing the Management of Used Oil

Enclosed please find material that appeared in the Federal Register on May 6, 1998. In it EPA proposes to “eliminate errors and clarify ambiguities in the used oil management standards.”  The same changes are issued as direct final rules meaning that they will stand unless the Agency receives “relevant adverse comment.”This material will interest companies that generate or otherwise manage used oil.
