CC-96-023: SARA – Adjustment of Reportable Quantities for Several Extremely Hazardous Substances

The attached material appeared in the May 7, 1996, Federal Register. It is an EPA final rule which revises the Reportable Quantities (RQs) upward from one pound for over 200 substances which are listed as “Extremely Hazardous Substances” under Section 302 of SARA. This proposal will be of interest to companies with facilities subject to SARA Section 302 emergency or continuous release reporting requirements for SO2, sulfur trioxide, ozone, or hydrogen peroxide.
