On November 7, 1988 you were sent Corporate Correspondent Memorandum CC 88-75 containing the final technical standards for underground storage tanks and a summary of the regulations prepared by NCASI staff. Since then, we have received several inquiries regarding the scope of the exemption for tanks containing what is defined in the regulations as 'heating oil'.
