CC-15-006: EPA – Water Analytical Methods – Proposed Rule Updating and Revising Analytical Methods and Sampling Procedures for Testing of Wastewater

The February 19, 2015, edition of the <em>Federal Register</em> presents EPA’s proposed changes to analysis and sampling procedures used to monitor wastewater. The proposed changes would apply to facilities holding NPDES permits for which wastewater monitoring is required using procedures codified in 40 CFR Part 136. Several of the proposed changes apply to analytical procedures commonly used by the forest products industry. This memorandum provides a summary of the proposal and highlights analytical method and sampling procedure changes that may impact wastewater monitoring programs. The comment period on the proposal closes on April 20, 2015. NCASI plans to submit technical comments.
