CC-13-006: Final Rule Establishing Emission Standards for Commercial and Industrial Solid Waste Incineration (CISWI) Units and Finalizing Provisions of the Non-Hazardous Secondary Materials (NHSM) Rul

In the February 7, 2013, Federal Register [FR 78 (26) 9112 - 9213], EPA published a final rule establishing emission standards for Commercial and Industrial Solid Waste Incineration (CISWI) units. EPA is also finalizing amendments to regulations codified by the Non-Hazardous Secondary Materials (NHSM) rule. This rule will be of interest to companies operating boilers burning alternative fuels including off-specification used oil, tire-derived fuel, wastewater treatment plant residuals, construction and demolition debris, urban hog fuel, resinated wood, treated wood, OCC rejects, paper pellets, turpentine, tall oil, rectified methanol, and any other material that may ultimately be determined to be a solid waste.
