CC-12-027: Final Rule on National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants from the Pulp and Paper Industry
In the September 11, 2012, Federal Register, EPA published a rule finalizing the residual risk and technology review (RTR) for the pulp and paper industry source category, which is regulated under the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP). This rule was proposed on December 27, 2011. This final rule will be of interest to integrated and non-integrated pulp, paper, paperboard, and recycled fiber mills that are major sources of Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs) and subject to the Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) standards under Subpart S.
