CC-12-013: Draft International Water Stewardship Standard (IWSS)

NCASI monitors the development and dissemination of tools intended to promote water stewardship or sustainable use of water. One such tool is potentially significant to NCASI members because it is intended to create a “standard” against which companies might seek, or be asked to seek, certification of water stewardship. The organization developing the Standard, the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), has frequently referenced the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standard as a model for this water-related standard. The draft International Water Stewardship Standard (IWSS) was published on March 17, 2012.
