CC-08-004: Proposed Revisions of New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) for Steam Generating Units

In the June 12, 2008, Federal Register, EPA published a proposal to make minor modifications to the current New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) for both industrial boilers and electric utility steam generating units. In June 2007, EPA made several minor revisions to the NSPS (CC Memo 07-017), and this proposal would make further minor revisions and clarifications. Most of the proposed revisions address issues related to the burning of synthetic gases derived from coal.
