CC-07-011: DHS Interim Final Rule – Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards
The Department of Homeland Security announced in the Federal Register on April 9, 2007, an interim final rule that provides the structure by which facilities that store chemicals on-site shall determine if they must participate in the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards program. This material describes the procedures that are to be used by covered facilities to interact with DHS to prepare Security Vulnerability Assessments that identify facility security vulnerabilities, and to develop and implement Site Security Plans that include measures that satisfy identified risk-based performance standards.
