NCASI is Committed to Member and Staff Safety during COVID-19 Outbreak

March 13, 2020 NCASI Updates

NCASI is committed to protecting the health and well-being of our Members and employees during these uncertain times. We are closely monitoring the global outbreak of COVID-19 and are implementing appropriate safeguards as the situation continues to develop.

We know you depend on NCASI to provide high-quality resources and technical assistance and we are committed to maintaining this reliable and accessible service, while also doing our part to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

To protect our Members and our staff, we have made the decision to suspend all NCASI related travel except for approved essential travel and local travel, where risk of contact with large groups is minimal and appropriate safety precautions are taken.

Many of our staff already work remotely, most often from their homes.  We have asked those who work at our centers located in Newberry, FL, Corvallis, OR, Anacortes, WA, Montreal, Quebec, Canada and Cary, NC, to begin to work from home to the extent possible.  There will continue to be a small presence of staff at some of these locations to maintain essential services, however, this will be done in a manner that ensures social distancing recommendations are maintained.

As for upcoming events, we are currently moving ahead with plans but will continue monitoring the situation and will reconsider the timing of scheduled meetings if the situation changes significantly in the coming weeks. In the event of a change to an online platform, postponement, or cancelation, we will send an e-mail to our Membership and post an update on our events webpage https://www.ncasi.org/news-events/.

As always, we encourage you to continue to use the online resources and tools on ncasi.org, as well as reach out to the NCASI team via email and phone. Our goal is to continue to provide the information and services you expect from NCASI while doing our part to minimize the risk of exposure or spread of coronavirus.

Stay safe and healthy.

Dirk Krouskop, President
