Boiler Fundamentals and Air Emissions Calculations

NCASI hosted a webcast of its Boiler Fundamentals and Air Emissions Calculations Workshop on March 20, 2013. The purpose of the workshop was to explain, in simple terms and equations, fundamental boiler emissions calculations, as well as boiler heat input calculations. Topics covered included fundamentals, F-factors, oxygen corrections, unit conversions, boiler heat input, and mass rate and oxygen corrected emission calculations. Workshop participants were encouraged to use the Excel-based calculation tool provided for sample problem calculations.
